President Trump Makes a FIFA Announcement, Aug. 22, 2025

Trump: Thank you very much. We have a very big announcement to make today. You all know Gianni—he came all the way from Italy, the beautiful country of Italy, to be with us. He just got off the plane, and he’s a hardworking guy, does a phenomenal job with FIFA. Nobody like him.

I’m delighted to welcome FIFA President Gianni Infantino back to the White House for a major announcement about one of the most anticipated competitions in all of sports: the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That’s going to be the World Cup as we know it. It’s the biggest—probably the biggest event in sports, I guess, Gianni, right? Hello everybody. It’s great to be with you. You guys are doing a fantastic job, and gals doing an amazing job, and we appreciate it. And the numbers are down like we wouldn’t believe—but we believe it.

Where do I stand here? Right? Rare. Okay.

President Trump Participates in a Multilateral Meeting with European Leaders

The President: Isn’t it just—it’s such an incredible place. Well, we’re building a big ballroom. Beautiful. Right here, if you go—it would be right through that. Right through here.

Male Speaker: (inaudible)

The President: It’s going to be—I’ll tell you, but it’s going to be fantastic, actually. You can let them come in. I think we’re going to have a successful talk today. Please, come on in. Do you guys want to take some questions or anything? Hi, Mark.

Well, thank you very much. It’s a great honor to have you here. A special place—the White House is special no matter where you’re from. It represents so much, and it truly is beautiful. And thank you for all of the wonderful things that took place today. We’ve had a very successful day thus far—important discussions as we work to end the killing and stop the war in Ukraine. President Trump Participates in a Bilateral Meeting with the President of Ukraine

The President: Well, thank you very much. It’s an honor to have the President of Ukraine with us. We’ve had a lot of good discussions and a lot of good talks, and I think progress is being made—very, very substantial progress in many ways. We had a good meeting, as you know, just a short while ago with the President of Russia, and I think there’s a possibility that something could come out of it. And today’s meeting is very important.

We have, I guess, the seven very powerful leaders from Europe, and we’re going to be meeting with them right after this meeting. And thank you very much for being here. Continue reading “President Trump Participates in a Bilateral Meeting with the President of Ukraine”

President Trump Participates in a Press Conference with the President of the Russian Federation

Announcer: — The President of the United States of America and the President of the Russian Federation.

President Putin: Mr. President, ladies and gentlemen, our negotiations have been held in a constructive atmosphere of mutual respect. We had very thorough negotiations. They were quite useful. I would like to thank once again my American counterpart for the proposal to travel out here to Alaska.

It only makes sense that we’ve met here, because our countries—though separated by the oceans—are close neighbors. So when we met, when I came out of the plane, I said, “Good afternoon, dear neighbor. Very good to see you in good health and to see you alive.” I think that is very neighborly, and I think those are kind words we can say to each other. President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 14, 2025

Trump: Are you all set? How are you? Thank you very much for being with us. It’s a good time for this country. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world. I think you’re hearing it from a lot of people, not just from me. We’re doing very well in so many ways, and the gentleman on my right—we recruited him. We tried to get the best person. We got a man that you’ll hear in a second has done an amazing job with respect to Social Security. He’s running it, and he’s running it like nobody’s ever even dreamed possible.

It’s the 90th anniversary right now of Social Security, so today we celebrate that 90th anniversary of one of the most significant pieces of legislation ever signed into law—the Social Security Act of 1935. And we’re going to make it stronger, bigger, and better—really doing a job. In the campaign, I made a sacred pledge to our seniors that I would always protect Social Security, and under this administration we’re keeping that promise and strengthening Social Security for generations to come. You keep hearing stories that in six years, seven years, Social Security will be gone—and it will be if the Democrats ever get involved, because they don’t know what they’re doing—but it’s going to be around a long time with us. Very much. You’ll be surprised to hear some of the numbers. Continue reading “President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 14, 2025”

President Trump Visits the Kennedy Center and Makes an Announcement

Trump: Thank you very much. This is a very exciting project. We’re going to do something that will go rapidly, relatively inexpensively, and we’ll make it better than it ever was, frankly. It’ll be something that people are going to be very proud of—along with, in the bigger picture, a place called Washington, D.C. That is the bigger one, and we’ll talk about that in a little while.

But let’s talk about, right now, the Kennedy Center, and I’m delighted to be here as we officially announce the incredibly talented artists who will be celebrated later this year at the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors. It’s going to be a big evening. I’ve been asked to host. I said, “I’m the President of the United States. Are you fools asking me to do that?” “Sir, you’ll get much higher ratings.” I said, “I don’t care. I’m President of the United States. I won’t do it.” They said, “Please.” And then Susie Wells said to me, “Sir, I’ll get a host.” I said, “Okay, Susie. I’ll do it.” That’s the power she’s got. President Trump Holds a Press Conference, Aug. 11, 2025

Trump: Wow. I’ve been up here a lot. I’ve never seen a crowd like this. I think we need a ballroom, and that’s happening. It’s going to be a beautiful ballroom. This is really a lot of people—most I’ve ever seen in this room.

And we’re here for a very serious purpose. Very serious purpose. Something’s out of control, but we’re going to put it in control very quickly, like we did on the southern border.

I’m announcing a historic action to rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor—and worse. This is Liberation Day in D.C., and we’re going to take our capital back. We’re taking it back.

Under the authorities vested in me as the President of the United States, I’m officially invoking Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act—you know what that is—and placing the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control. You’ll be meeting the people that will be directly involved with that. Very good people, but they’re tough, and they know what’s happening. They’ve done it before. Continue reading “President Trump Holds a Press Conference, Aug. 11, 2025”

President Trump Participates in a Trilateral Signing with Armenia and Azerbaijan

The President: Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you very much. It’s a great honor. It’s a long time—35 years. They fought, and now they’re friends, and they’re going to be friends for a long time. But it’s a big, beautiful honor to welcome everyone to the White House for this very historic peace summit between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

It’s really a great thrill for me. I love seeing good people get together, and that’s what you have here—two great leaders. I want to congratulate these two visionary people, Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev, for coming to Washington to sign this momentous joint declaration. It’s a tremendously important document, and it’s been a long time in coming. They were explaining before that so many times they thought they could get there. It never happened—just never happened. President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 7, 2025

The President: Please. Nice crowd. I even hear a young, beautiful voice in the background, and that’s good. That makes us all feel young.

I want to thank everybody for being here on the 200th day in office. This is 200 days already. Time flies. But we have a country that’s the hottest country right now anywhere in the world. A year ago, it was in a lot of trouble. It’s the hottest country.

And a lot of the people in this room made it that way. Perhaps the most successful and consequential first 200 days, they say, in any administration in history. So, let’s hope they keep saying it. There they are, right there. I hope they keep saying it. But even more importantly, this is also National Purple Heart Day, and we’re here to honor and celebrate the unyielding patriotism, grit, and devotion of America’s Purple Heart veterans. It is great emotion and great love. Continue reading “President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 7, 2025”
