President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 14, 2025

Trump: Are you all set? How are you? Thank you very much for being with us. It’s a good time for this country. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world. I think you’re hearing it from a lot of people, not just from me. We’re doing very well in so many ways, and the gentleman on my right—we recruited him. We tried to get the best person. We got a man that you’ll hear in a second has done an amazing job with respect to Social Security. He’s running it, and he’s running it like nobody’s ever even dreamed possible.

It’s the 90th anniversary right now of Social Security, so today we celebrate that 90th anniversary of one of the most significant pieces of legislation ever signed into law—the Social Security Act of 1935. And we’re going to make it stronger, bigger, and better—really doing a job. In the campaign, I made a sacred pledge to our seniors that I would always protect Social Security, and under this administration we’re keeping that promise and strengthening Social Security for generations to come. You keep hearing stories that in six years, seven years, Social Security will be gone—and it will be if the Democrats ever get involved, because they don’t know what they’re doing—but it’s going to be around a long time with us. Very much. You’ll be surprised to hear some of the numbers. Continue reading “President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 14, 2025”

President Trump Visits the Kennedy Center and Makes an Announcement

Trump: Thank you very much. This is a very exciting project. We’re going to do something that will go rapidly, relatively inexpensively, and we’ll make it better than it ever was, frankly. It’ll be something that people are going to be very proud of—along with, in the bigger picture, a place called Washington, D.C. That is the bigger one, and we’ll talk about that in a little while.

But let’s talk about, right now, the Kennedy Center, and I’m delighted to be here as we officially announce the incredibly talented artists who will be celebrated later this year at the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors. It’s going to be a big evening. I’ve been asked to host. I said, “I’m the President of the United States. Are you fools asking me to do that?” “Sir, you’ll get much higher ratings.” I said, “I don’t care. I’m President of the United States. I won’t do it.” They said, “Please.” And then Susie Wells said to me, “Sir, I’ll get a host.” I said, “Okay, Susie. I’ll do it.” That’s the power she’s got. Vice President JD Vance Visits with U.S. Troops Stationed in the United Kingdom

Thank you all. Thank you. Please, Airmen, at ease. It’s good to be here with you. Please have a seat. I see we have some—some beautiful families out there. You know, I served a few years in the Marine Corps, and I’ve got to say, I’m pretty jealous. This is a pretty fine duty station, if I do say so myself. This is a beautiful country.

I just spent the past few days here, actually—some meetings, some downtime with the family—and we’ve had a very, very good time here in England. The United Kingdom, of course, is one of our great allies. So I think I speak for all the Pathfinders here—is that right?—when I say, and all the Red Dragon folks as well, that we are proud of the special relationship and we are proud to work together with our British friends right here at Fairford Base. God bless you all. Continue reading “Vice President JD Vance Visits with U.S. Troops Stationed in the United Kingdom”

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Briefs Members of the Media, Aug. 12, 2025

Karoline Leavitt: Good afternoon, everybody.
The Press: Good afternoon.
Karoline Leavitt: Good to see all of you here again today.

On Friday morning, President Trump will travel across the country to Anchorage, Alaska, for a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The brutal war between Russia and Ukraine broke out under Joe Biden’s incompetent leadership, but President Trump is determined to try and end this war and stop the killing. As the President has said over and over again, his strong preference will always be for peace and partnership whenever those outcomes can possibly be achieved.

There is no leader in the world right now who has been more committed to preventing wars or ending them than President Donald Trump. Just look at what took place here at the White House last Friday when President Trump hosted the Azerbaijani President and Armenian Prime Minister and got the two leaders to sign a historic joint declaration for peace, ending a decades-long conflict that disrupted the region and claimed countless lives. President Trump Holds a Press Conference, Aug. 11, 2025

Trump: Wow. I’ve been up here a lot. I’ve never seen a crowd like this. I think we need a ballroom, and that’s happening. It’s going to be a beautiful ballroom. This is really a lot of people—most I’ve ever seen in this room.

And we’re here for a very serious purpose. Very serious purpose. Something’s out of control, but we’re going to put it in control very quickly, like we did on the southern border.

I’m announcing a historic action to rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor—and worse. This is Liberation Day in D.C., and we’re going to take our capital back. We’re taking it back.

Under the authorities vested in me as the President of the United States, I’m officially invoking Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act—you know what that is—and placing the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control. You’ll be meeting the people that will be directly involved with that. Very good people, but they’re tough, and they know what’s happening. They’ve done it before. Continue reading “President Trump Holds a Press Conference, Aug. 11, 2025”

President Trump Participates in a Trilateral Signing with Armenia and Azerbaijan

The President: Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you very much. It’s a great honor. It’s a long time—35 years. They fought, and now they’re friends, and they’re going to be friends for a long time. But it’s a big, beautiful honor to welcome everyone to the White House for this very historic peace summit between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

It’s really a great thrill for me. I love seeing good people get together, and that’s what you have here—two great leaders. I want to congratulate these two visionary people, Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev, for coming to Washington to sign this momentous joint declaration. It’s a tremendously important document, and it’s been a long time in coming. They were explaining before that so many times they thought they could get there. It never happened—just never happened. President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 7, 2025

The President: Please. Nice crowd. I even hear a young, beautiful voice in the background, and that’s good. That makes us all feel young.

I want to thank everybody for being here on the 200th day in office. This is 200 days already. Time flies. But we have a country that’s the hottest country right now anywhere in the world. A year ago, it was in a lot of trouble. It’s the hottest country.

And a lot of the people in this room made it that way. Perhaps the most successful and consequential first 200 days, they say, in any administration in history. So, let’s hope they keep saying it. There they are, right there. I hope they keep saying it. But even more importantly, this is also National Purple Heart Day, and we’re here to honor and celebrate the unyielding patriotism, grit, and devotion of America’s Purple Heart veterans. It is great emotion and great love. Continue reading “President Trump Delivers Remarks, Aug. 7, 2025”

President Trump Welcomes Apple CEO Tim Cook and Announces U.S. Investment

President Trump: Thank you very much. You know this gentleman, one of the truly great legends of our time, in my book.

Before we begin, I’d like to say a few words about the shooting at Fort Stewart in Georgia. As you know, five people were seriously wounded and two very, very seriously hurt around 11:00 this morning. The shooter is now in custody, and the Army Criminal Investigation Division is on site to ensure that the perpetrator of this atrocity—which is exactly what it is—will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The entire nation is praying for the victims and their families, and hopefully they’ll fully recover. We can put this chapter behind, but we’re not going to forget what happened. We’re going to take very good care of this person—that horrible person who did this. Continue reading “President Trump Welcomes Apple CEO Tim Cook and Announces U.S. Investment”

President Trump Signs an Executive Order For The LA Olympics, Aug. 5, 2025

The President: Thank you very much, everybody. It’s a big day for a lot of reasons, and it’s an honor to have you in this very nice venue across the street from the White House. Thank you all for being here as we take a major step to ensure the United States is fully prepared to welcome the world to Los Angeles for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

Very exciting day of my life when we got nominated and ultimately got it. I didn’t think I’d be here for the games in this capacity, but it worked out that way. So I’m very happy about that. I had no idea that was going to happen. When we got it, I said, “Too bad I won’t be president then.” But, sort of, we took a very circuitous route, didn’t we? Trump Signs EO on President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, and the Reesetablishment of the Presidential Fitness Test

The President: Nice to see you. How are you?
We have a lot of athletic talent and great people behind me, and we’re going to do some very important things for our country. Nobody knows LT, right? LT? Greatest ever? Lawrence Taylor. You look good. You could play right now, I think, LT. He only looked that way. Well, I’m delighted to be here with some of the truly great sports legends of all time, as we formally announce the newest members of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.

This is an important step in our mission to make America healthy again. It’s something that’s very important—what we’re doing, very important. Dating back to the administration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, this council has championed the vigor and strength and vitality of the American people. Today, we continue that very proud tradition.
